- Italian cultural institutions in the U.S.A. (or other country they live in)
- Italian institutions or university in Italy, such as the University for Foreigners of Siena; the University for Foreigners of Perugia; Università degli Studi Roma Tre; Società Dante Alighieri (with sites in Bologna, Firenze, Milano, Roma, Torino).
Passing the B1 Language exam certifies that the applicant understands the Italian language in terms of:
- writing
- listening
- speaking
- reading
